Property Types & Architecture
This central area mainly offers high-end sharer properties, usually in private blocks. Given the Westminster postcode and excellent transport links prices are naturally high, although ex-local authority apartments, in generally well-maintained blocks can be grabbed for bargain prices. There are a number of luxury new build developments in the area, although they come with an equally luxurious price tag.
-
Shopping & Entertainment
The high street and Victoria Station feature numerous shops, theatres and restaurants so even those with the lowest of boredom thresholds should be satisfied. The expansion of two major supermarkets also makes the area far more practical for food shopping than the rest of the West End.
-
Parks & Commons
As well as various squares and small parks Victoria is centred between Hyde Park, Green Park and St James' Park.
-
Who lives here?
The area suits high-income young professionals, although few properties are large enough to be practical for families. There are more young couples than sharers, as most properties are one bedroom flats.
