Angel straddles the Metropolitan boroughs of Finsbury and Islington where early Victorian and Georgian townhouses sit happily alongside new developments and council blocks built between the 1930's and 1960's. The completion of the Victoria Line and the renovation of Angel Tube encouraged developers to renovate a lot of the existing properties as well as build new ones.
