We welcome job applications from people who speak two or more languages, to help us communicate with all our clients.
As a leading London letting agent with 10 Area Offices, we operate across a variety of multicultural communities. Additionally, since EU work rules opened up many more people arrive from overseas looking for a home to rent in London.
Stephen Ludlow says: "Our bilingual staff mean that customers find it easier to express what they are looking in a property or location. Understanding a community and its needs is vital to being a valued estate agent."
The top three languages most commonly in demand in London are Spanish, Polish and Chinese. Whilst immigrant customers may have a very good grasp of spoken English some customers may have trouble interpreting long drawn out contracts. An advisor who can explain the finer details in their native tongue would makes finding and renting or letting a home a lot easier. The process of renting a house in the UK can vary from the system an overseas tenant has experienced in his or her country of origin. Even landlords who have lived in the UK for many years are grateful to be able to discuss matters in their favoured language.
Miss M.S from Dulwich proves what a difference a multilingual agency can make to our customers:
"I found it very hard to find a good agent in London as our language barrier does not help... But Terry made a real effort translating for us and in general giving us a great service, finally providing a light at the end of the tunnel. It is safe to say that for once I have come across an agency that has given me and my friends’ confidence."
