Now the clocks have gone forward more renters will want to make the most of the ‘golden hour’ to view properties
Traditionally the summer months see increased competition for properties to rent in London. This is the time when graduates move to to London to start their first jobs in the City and elsewhere and undergraduates and postgraduates come to study at London's world leading universities. It is also a time when many will decide that they want to make a change in their living arrangements.
With summer now approaching many young professionals and graduates will be starting to think about their accommodation for the year ahead and those who are more switched on will make the most out of the clocks having now gone forward and use the extra hour of sunlight to view potential houses or flats.
For hardworking young professionals it can be difficult to find the time to research and view properties to rent- particularly as properties in London don’t tend to stay available for long, which can mean that those unable to view them immediately can lose out.
Now these professionals will have increased daylight hours to look at properties and they should take advantage of it before the real summer rush begins.
Stephen Ludlow, Chairman at ludlowthompson comments: “For professionals working long hours the extra hour of sunlight will greatly benefit their search for new accommodation.”
“Summer always tends to be a very busy time, particularly when the academic year ends – and so those who know what they want would do well to start their search now.”
“My advice to those looking for places to rent is to start early, and get a deposit down before the main rush begins.”
