40% of potential house buyers view six or more properties before making a decision
New research has found that 80% of potential buyers in the UK view three or more houses before deciding which to make an offer on, and 40% view six or more. House hunters base their search on a range of criteria including transport links, school catchment zones and local amenities.
Buying a house is one of the major decisions of our lives. So to get the very best out of the housing market, buyers should make the most of professional help from a trusted local estate agent.
Agents can give buyers a more personalised, human experience than online agents, which can often be two-dimensional: focusing on ticking boxes rather than actively targeting the buyers’ specific needs and wants.
ludlowthompson’s ‘MyAccount’ system dovetails with their local branch agents and condenses many of the moving parts that come with house-hunting, making the process easier for buyers and sellers alike. As most house hunters view several houses before making a decision, ‘MyAccount’ can help to differentiate between viewed properties, and allows clients to give and receive real-time feedback about the properties they are considering.
Stephen Ludlow, Chairman at ludlowthompson comments: “Potential buyers should turn to trusted agents with a good knowledge of the local area, to find a range of the best-quality houses to view which meet their personal criteria.”
“Online agents are unable to give the personalised experience that a trusted agent can, nor do they have the in-depth experience and knowledge of the pricing, quality and location of the properties that house hunters are likely to be attracted to.”
