Attractiveness of London as a place to live and work underscores strength of the capital’s residential property market
London has beaten the likes of New York and Berlin to be named the world’s most popular destination for work, shows a survey of over 360,000 overseas workers from over 200 countries worldwide by The Boston Consulting Group.
As we have often emphasised, the popularity of London as an internationally attractive destination to work underlines the strength of its property market. More and more people still want to come to London to work, meaning there is strong long-term demand that helps property vendors and landlords alike.
London’s success highlights the attraction of the capital as a place to work and live for people from across the world - despite any uncertainty surrounding Brexit. The study paid tribute to London’s strong economy as well as the social and cultural attractions that it offers.

Ongoing upgrades to London’s ‘always-on’ transport infrastructure, including the night tube, mean that it is not only becoming easier to get in and out of the city for work, but also for social events.
