Londoners come together to celebrate Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Neighbourhoods across London once again demonstrated great community spirit by getting together in support of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Streets across London were closed to enable street parties, picnics and pageants to safely take place. Ludlowthompson supported several of these local events by providing road closure signs for street parties.

Oval residents got together for parties on Fentiman, Claylands and Meadow Road, with people moving between streets to sample different types of food. Bunting adorned the streets and live bands played as community members participated in games.

As well as being fun for local residents, community events can have a positive impact on house prices. Areas with a strong community spirit are more in-demand amongst professionals and their families, creating competition for properties.

Local areas including Vauxhall and Oval, also benefit from having great schools, vibrant retail shops and bars and large green spaces which also make buying a house all the more compelling.
