An interview with Hannah, Joao and Kern about life at ludlowthompson and their recent promotions
ludlowthompson has a strong track record when it comes to promoting internal talent. We invest significant time each year in to training and pride ourselves on promoting from within.
Promotions ultimately are a rewarded for excellence in a number of areas not just financial performance. We consider: excellence in customer service, going the extra mile, innovative ideas that improve the business and or the customer experience. This includes contributing to all aspects of the business such as helping fundraise for Centrepoint.
The ludlowthompson editorial team recently caught up with Hannah Bick, Joao Franco and Kern Rhoden to discuss their journey so far. All of whom have recently been promoted to Assistant Manager.
Tell us a little about yourself
Hannah Bick: “I am in my late 20s and have worked for ludlowthompson for over four years now mainly working in the East Dulwich Branch. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and reading.”
Joao Franco: “I was born in Portugal and came to London when I was two years old. I can speak Portuguese fluently along with a little French. I started at ludlowthompson about two years ago after graduating from Roehampton University with an Upper 2:1 Degree in Business & Accounting. I graduated in 2016 not knowing that Stephen Ludlow, who is now my Chairman, was actually at my graduation ceremony!”
Kern Rhoden: “I’m an ambitious young professional, who decided against the traditional pathway of attending University. I started as an apprentice at ludlowthompson just over two years ago. I really enjoy working as part of a team to produce the best possible results for the company, and in turn maximising my earnings.”
What is your proudest achievement at ludlowthompson?
Hannah Bick: “My proudest achievement is this most recent promotion to the position of Assistant Manager.”
Joao Franco: “Competing in the TackleAfrica Football Tournament with five other colleagues and coming first, as well as taking part in the Centrepoint Sleep Out Campaign, where you sleep out and raise funds so homeless young people don’t have to.”
Kern Rhoden: “My proudest achievement would be being promoted to Assistant Manager.”
What is your favourite part of the job at ludlowthompson?
Hannah Bick: “My favourite part of the job would be the fact that no day is the same, you meet new people, see different properties and speak to different people each day.”
Joao Franco: “Being able to meet many different people every day.”
Kern Rhoden: “I enjoy building rapport with new landlords and winning business, especially in Wimbledon!”
What are your hopes for your career progression?
Hannah Bick: “I am looking forward to progressing through the stages at ludlowthompson, achieving excellence on every transaction, and being the best Assistant Manager for the East Dulwich Branch.”
Joao Franco: “One day I hope to become a manager and run my own branch, implementing everything I have learnt so far to help my own team become managers themselves in the future.
Kern Rhoden: “I hope to progress further within ludlowthompson hopefully to Lettings Manager in the future.”
We wish Hannah, Joao and Kern all the best wishes and look forward to following their progression within ludlowthompson.
