Over the last year, ludlowthompson has raised £20,000 to help tackle youth homelessness, thinking up some innovative fundraising activities and taking part in a variety of charity events in support of the UK’s leading homelessness charity Centrepoint.
ludlowthompson is a long-time partner and supporter of Centrepoint, which provides housing, education and guidance on important life skills to 16-25 year olds.
Headline activities in 2016 include:
• “Sleep out” event to raise awareness of the hardships of living on the streets
• Profits from a “tuck shop” at ludlowthompson HQ – the idea of 2 staff members
• Participating in a sponsored 100-mile bike ride
• Taking part in the British 10k London Run
In addition we also continued our annual sponsorship of the London Marathon, and participated in a charity football tournament in aid of Coram Children’s Charity, which improves the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Stephen Ludlow, chairman at ludlowthompson comments, “It’s great to see ludlowthompson staff getting so involved with our fundraising efforts, coming up with new ideas of their own to raise money and wholeheartedly supporting firm-wide initiatives.”
“Tackling homelessness and helping young people get back on their feet is vital work, especially in London, so we are delighted to have been able to support Centrepoint’s excellent work again this year and we look forward to more fundraising efforts in the New Year.”
“The dedication of our team, and in particular Tony Varghese, Senior Property Sales Manager and our highest individual fundraiser to date, has been extraordinary, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their sterling efforts.”
