Two of ludlowthompson’s branch managers, Edvis Stepani and Jeroen Hoppe, weathered the cold to take part in Centrepoint’s Sleep Out, a fundraising event to support its vital work with homeless young people.
The Sleep Out marks the start of the Centrepoint Countdown to Christmas campaign and is just one of the events taking place between now and Christmas in an effort to raise more than £260,000.
Centrepoint chief executive, Anthony Lawton, says: “It is a fact that many of the young people who come to Centrepoint flee their home because of violence and abuse. From talking with young people we know that the Christmas period in particular can lead many to feel vulnerable and isolated and the winter weather makes the practicalities of living as a young homeless person even harder. By supporting Centrepoint’s Countdown to Christmas campaign this year, members of the public can help ensure that Centrepoint service users experience a decent Christmas and the support they need, this year.”
