'Merry and Bright' autumn and winter events top off busy year

After a year of high activity in the London housing market, we’ve seen just as much activity in our local communities, with a host of events highlighting the best that the city has to offer.

This year, house prices in London have risen 4.4%, showing that the unique pull of thriving neighbourhoods with a fantastic sense of community is continuing to draw buyers. Ludlowthompson is proud to play an active role in our local areas, supporting lots of brilliant events in the run-up to Christmas. We have close ties with many local organisations, including schools, charities and religious organisations.

This October, we were pleased to sponsor the St Matthews’s Passion classical concert, held at St Michael’s Church. It showcased the talents of Stockwell’s young musicians, who performed a piece by Bach with a four-part professional choir, a children’s choir and two orchestras. An incredibly enjoyable evening was had by all, with excellent musical performances in the historic surroundings. 

In November, ludlowthompson employees supported homelessness charity Centrepoint, participating in their 'Sleep Out' event. This is our 17th year of supporting the charity, which aims to end youth homelessness by 2037. The team smashed their original fundraising target and are now close to raising £6,000. Brilliant local schools are one of the main reasons buyers are attracted to our areas and we love supporting them in any way we can. With the festive season underway, many held Christmas Fayres and Fetes to celebrate the occasion.

We were proud sponsors of the Sellincourt Primary School Fayre, and we also managed to catch a glimpse of Santa himself whilst sponsoring Stockwell Primary School’s Winter Wonderland. A very excited Year 6 pupil was delighted to win tickets to an Arsenal game, which we donated to the Ashmole Primary Christmas Fair.
