Number of new property listings in London nearly double the national average of 10%


New property listings are up 17% in London, beating the national average of 10%, as reported in Financial Reporter.

Competition to sell property is high, meaning those looking to sell need to make their property as attractive as possible to potential buyers in order to stand out from the crowd.

Repainting your house prior to selling, cleaning the inside and outside of your house, and allowing as much natural light in as possible are all contributing factors to selling quickly and efficiently.

Sellers should pay particular focus to what is increasingly seen as the most valuable room in the house – the kitchen. Ensuring kitchen counter tops are sparkling, white goods are clean and polished, and decluttering all the important surfaces (bar a bowl of fruit perhaps) can make for an impressive kitchen which can make the difference to the unsure buyer. A kitchen can be cheaply transformed by replacing worktops with more expensive materials.
