Properties near public green spaces boast attractive premium

New research reveals houses offering a view of green space or water in urban areas, boast an average premium of £4,600.

House prices also increase by an average of £2,500 if within a distance of 100 metres of green space.

This premium could be attributed to the perception that green spaces improve the physical and mental wellbeing of individuals.

Another study also shows green spaces act as a strong attraction to buyers. With 82% of respondents more likely to purchase a property that encompasses some form of green space, such as parks and communal gardens, than one without.
