ludlowthompson staff spend sleeping out in support of leading charity for young homeless people.
27 ludlowthompson staff spent a night sleeping out in support of charity Centrepoint, which assists homeless young people. The charity provides accommodation and support to homeless people in between 16 and 25 years of age.
Thursday 6th November saw employees from across ludlowthompson’s London offices sleep outside the former Truman's Brewery on Brick Lane.
The company’s fourth annual charity sleepout raised a company record total of over £5,000, a record fundraising total for any single ludlowthompson charity event.
The sleepout was part of a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the problems young homeless people face.
ludlowthompson Head of Sales Paul Gray, says: “The night was absolutely freezing and the rain at 4.30am didn’t help. However it provided a great opportunity to reflect on homeless teenagers. None of us were keen to spend a second night outside but for some young people that is the only option.”
Stephen Ludlow, Chairman of ludlowthompson, added: “Centrepoint is an extremely worthwhile cause. They achieve so much in terms of highlighting the problems faced by young people on the street, as well as offering practical support. I am extremely proud that our staff raised a company record amount and we will aim to surpass that next year.”
