Yabba-dabba do! Amazing Flintstones-inspired home

- Crazy but True Stories
New home built as an exact replica of cartoon couple, Fred and Wilma's home - living dinosaurs not included.
A clear lover of the Flintstones cartoon, the late Dick Clark, the American television personality, built the ultimate homage to Fred and Wilma’s residence –an exact replica of the cartoon couple’s primitive home.
Located in ‘Boney Valley’ USA, it’s easy to imagine dinosaurs roaming around Clark’s property, as he built it into the mountain to avoid disrupting the natural scenery. Even the garden is in keeping as it is designed to resemble rock formations.
Although far more plush than the heap of rocks depicted in the cartoon, the property perfectly resembles the Flintstone residence, featuring a huge living space, a bedroom and two bathrooms designed to look as if they have been carved from the mountain’s rock.
Although some may prefer more conventional surroundings, Clark’s property comes complete with all mod-cons, but fails to feature real life cavemen. Since Clark’s passing, the property has been on the market for close on $3million – a hefty price for those wishing to live the ‘yabba-dabba do’ lifestyle.
