Improving transport links alongside the river is attracting more young professionals
Tenants will be encouraged by the news that developers are set to step up housebuilding activity alongside the Thames and many will look forward to the increased number of properties that these developments will deliver.
These areas are set to become hugely desirable amongst young professionals. The pleasant atmosphere of living alongside the river as well as improving transport links which will speed up commutes to the City and Canary Wharf, will attract more renters to the area.
As ever, good transport infrastructure remains key to the popularity of an area. The increased number of river bus services on offer in many of these riverside locations is attracting developers and is resulting in a surge of residents to the area.
Transport for London have also just announced changes to fares on River Bus services, allowing passengers to use Oyster pay as you go on their journey and saving them money.
Stephen Ludlow, Chairman at ludlowthompson, explains: “London’s rental population will be encouraged by the ever-increasing options available to them.
"Riverside properties are often viewed as something of a status symbol and the improving transport links will only make these areas even more popular!"
