ludlowthompson’s Worcester office host a number of events to raise money and support the local area
All ludlowthompson staff were recently treated to a summer barbeque at our Worcester office. As part of the evening a member of the fundraising team for St. Basils, a local partner of Centrepoint, was invited to introduce themselves to the team and give an overview of the projects currently supported in the Worcestershire area, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Kidderminster.
We were delighted to be able to handover the first of the monies raised for St. Basils from a ‘bake off’ competition and the sales from the ‘St Basil’s Tuck Shop’.
Our first fundraising efforts raised a total of £147, and with more competitions upcoming, we hope to be able to add to this. You will be able follow our fundraising efforts through the hash tag #bakeforstbasils. St. Basils helps young people who are or are at risk of becoming homeless.
Stephen Ludlow, Chairman at ludlowthompson commented ‘I am very proud of all the staff members who contributed to the fundraising efforts. It’s important to our agencies that we are actively involved within the regional communities.’
Members of the Worcester office have also spent an evening with member of the Bromsgrove Basement project and the young people which they support. The project aims to end youth homelessness in the area.
ludlowthompson are now working with the project to look at some of the young people joining us through apprenticeship schemes and for work experience.
Stephen Ludlow adds: ‘Youth homelessness is a serious issue, and one we are proud to be addressing alongside Centrepoint and its regional affiliates St. Basils and the Bromsgrove Project.’
